I love waking up in the middle of the night
It’s always the best part of my day
Everyone else is sleeping
I’m either up really late
or I’m the first one up in the morning

On this particular morning
T Philly was sitting there
on the couch in my office

We’re going on adventure
he told me
and I offered him some coffee
He declined

You’re gonna need something
a lot stronger than that
where we’re going
he said

I have some Vitamin B12
I said
and I went for the door
but of course it wasn’t a door
it was just the picture of a door

T Philly laughed

Vitamin B
he said
Vitamin B isn’t going to get you
where we’re going

T Philly didn’t just visit the other side
he didn’t just know about it
he was from there
T Philly was from the 4th dimension

He handed me a fork and knife
and looked over to the window
I knew exactly what I had to do

he said
and he handed me my little pocket notebook
