Deep Vellum publishes both original books and translations. They produce a variety of genres including fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and works in translation.
Deep Vellum, a Dallas-based non-profit literary arts organization, was founded in 2013 with the mission to bring the world into conversation through literature. Their focus is on enhancing cultural exchange and connecting English-language readers with underrepresented writers.
Deep Vellum is a play on words. The publisher is located in the Dallas historical district Deep Ellum, adjacent to downtown, and vellum is a thick parchment used to print high-quality books. Deep Vellum.
