THE Bedford Square

The publishers loved Bedford Square so much, they even named their publishing house after it. That, or the fact that is where they’re located.

Built between 1775 and 1786, Bedford Square is London’s finest and most complete Georgian square, setting the style for garden squares in London through the late 18th and early 19th centuries.

Bedford Square

The square takes its name from the main title of the Russell family, the Dukes of Bedford, who owned much of the land in what is now Bloomsbury.
