Slant Books is an independent, not-for-profit literary press specializing in fiction, poetry, creative non-fiction, philosophy, theology, and belles lettres. Slant books are marked by the kind of meticulous craft and passion for language that are harder and harder to come by in our age of instant publishing and literary gimmickry. These are books that will lodge themselves in readers’ lives.

Slant Books Submissions

Slant is accepting submissions in the following genres: fiction (novels, novellas, short story collections), poetry, creative non-fiction (memoirs, essay collections, and beyond), and trade books in philosophical, literary, and cultural criticism for a general audience.

Unsolicited submissions welcome. No agent required.

Unfortunately, they are not able to consider chapbooks at this time.

Submit via their Duosama portal. They do not accept emailed submissions.
