About Amaryllis Publishing

Founded in 2010, Amaryllis is the English-only imprint for India’s Manjul Publishing. Amaryllis publishes original, India-centric fiction and narrative non-fiction. Amaryllis has more than 60 successful titles already under its belt and boasts of names like Ashok K. Banker, Deepti Naval, Jaswant Singh, M.K. Rasgotra and more.

The parent company, Manjul Publishing, is an independent book publisher established in 1999. It is based in Bhopal, in the state of Madhya Pradesh, in central India.

Manjul and Amaryllis together have a backlist of over 700 titles. Manjul and Amaryllis titles are available at all prominent chain book-stores, including Crossword etc., and also at airport bookstores and stand-alone stores across India. Their presence stretches to over 10,000 booksellers.

Author Spotlight: Ron Lim

Meet Ron Lim, author of the Amaryllis title, no idea what I’m doing but f*ck it. At age 22, Ron packed his bags and bought a one-way ticket out of the place he lived in his entire life.

Thinking back, “I remember when I was on the plane by myself, leaving for the first time with no destination in mind, there was no fear. It felt strangely… liberating. And it was in those few starting hours of my journey that I already knew that I’ve made the right choice” says Lim.

“Time flies when you’re on the road. All you do is try to live in the moment and focus on the next thing, and before you know it… years have passed and you have come a long way”.

In less than 2 years, in December 2021, Ron released his debut book – no idea what I’m doing but f*ck it.
