About Green Bottle Press

Founded in 2014, Green Bottle Press is a small independent press, dedicated to the idea that poetry books should not only engage the reader with fresh language, form and subject matter, but also be objects of beauty. The Press works with poets to produce books that suit both the form and the length of their poetry – we won’t be bound by standard page size or book length if the work demands something different.

I hope to publish work that is unusual and deserves representation but might not appeal to the more established presses. Green Bottle Press Submissions

Unsolicited submissions welcome. No agent required.

The submission window for publication in 2027 is the month of June 2026. Please submit your poetry between 1st June and the 30th of June. Work received before or after those dates will not be read.

Green Bottle Press is looking for work by poets who write in English and who have not yet published a pamphlet or full collection, though they do occasionally consider new work by more established poets.

*IMPORTANT: if you are submitting from outside the UK or Ireland, please consider if you have any friends or fans of your work in these islands. If you live in the US for example, you should have a strong network of readers here in the UK, otherwise it will be very hard to sell your work. It would be better for you to seek publication in your own country. Just sayin’.

Please submit no more than 10 pages of writing for a first submission. If one poem is 10 pages long, submit one poem. You should put your first and last name at the bottom of each page.
