Submissions open year round.

C&R Press publishes literary, chance-taking, well-crafted work that may not be easily sellable to the big publishing houses. Fundamentally, they’re just looking for great writing and poetry. They’re looking for genre work that pushes boundaries, has an edge or an interesting point of view.

They are also looking for memoir and poetry of diverse types, styles, and voices. They have published experimental books, award winning books in fiction and poetry, and many not-easily-categorized books.

C&R began as a small press with big ideas in 2006 and was originally a non-profit with a focus on poetry.

All these years later and C&R is still putting out eight-to-ten books per year including novels, short story collections, memoirs, art books, experimental works, poetry, chapbooks, history, essays, and anthologies.
