Adarna House was founded in 1980 by National Artist for Literature, Virgilio S. Almario, to respond to the need of Filipinos to develop their minds through enjoyable learning opportunities and memorable literary experiences. Over the years, Adarna House has built a community that has a great passion for reading.

Adarna House gets its name from the Adarna bird, the mythical creature whose song could cure any affliction.

Adarna House Submissions

Unsolicited submissions okay. No agent required.

Submissions are open year-round to Filipinos at least 18 years of age, anywhere in the world. There is no limit to the number of pitches one may submit. Submissions may be in Filipino or English.

Complete ms OK. Send to: submissions@adarna.com.ph. On the first page of the manuscript, indicate its genre (short fiction, biography, history, etc.). Manuscripts need not come with illustrations.
