Thank you for your interest in Islandport Press. Islandport is a regional, New England-based, independent publisher with a particular emphasis on Maine writers and Maine-inspired work. New England, too. Islandport publishes 10-20 titles per year

The common thread of their books is a New England appreciation for this beautiful place they call home. They are especially interested in publishing the stories of those who have been historically underrepresented in publishing.

Islandport publishes stories about New England. Maine, especially. Or, you can just be from the area. Some kind of Maine/New England connection. Here is what they’re looking for:

Islandport is a traditional publisher offering advances ranging from $1,000-$5,000 for most titles, and industry standard royalties. They accept submissions year-round.
