Contra mundum: Latin for “against the world” or “against all.” It’s a term of defiance. Lovin’ it!

Contra Mundum Press is a New York-based, independent publishing house with a global outlook and a fist pumped high into the air. Publishing mainly Literature in Translation, their focus is mostly on Modernism, and the Modernists.

Although a literary translation press, their catalog also consists of poetry, novels, drama, philosophy, film criticism, and essays and criticism. CMP titles are distributed through Ingram and Asterism.

Contra Mundum Submissions

Contra Mundum does not accept unsolicited manuscripts. Bottom line: You’re gonna need a chaperone.

That said, they do welcome letters of query.
